- Don’t cram. When you’re learning something new, give yourself time to spread out your learning. Absorb it in small chunks. Rehearse your new information mentally. “Research shows that spaced rehearsal improves recall not only in healthy people but also in those with certain physically based cognitive problems.”
- Use memory tricks. Develop tricks to help you remember basic information. Rhymes, acronyms and other tricks are very useful.
